25. Fondazione Azienda Agricola Sperimentale 2023
On 19/01/2023 Ecosistemi buys – with its own company Fertilia – the historic Azienda Agricola Sperimentale Vittorio Tadini which, since 1928, has impressed a prestigious mark on the research and agricultural progress of our territory in Piacenza.
The area, with more than 40ha of land, is dedicated to the experimentation of reconstitution technologies and agricultural management: on the lots, in which the entire area has been divided, studies are carried out on agricultural, soil and environmental aspects in relation to the applied pedotechnics.
The achievement of a farm intended for production and testing has been an important goal of great entrepreneurial, scientific and consistent with the vision of Ecosistemi addressed to the great values of Italian agriculture and local history.
Within the company are carried out mechanical processing tests, experiments frequently assisted by the research laboratory, treatments with different methods on soils and pedomaterials. The company is adjacent to the headquarters and laboratories of Ecosistemi This will lead to the establishment of a Soil Research Centre of National Importance.
Seventh site: Fertilia land (2023)
The reconstitution interventions on the soils of the Fertilia Company began in January 2023 on a vast project that includes a series of separate interventions for the improvement of physical, chemical and biological fertility.
The design of the work focuses on different soil treatment settings intended for better productivity and management.
The main objectives of the intervention are:
- reduction of soil loss from erosive processes;
- Improvement of the structure;
- increased surface permeability;
- abatement of the high fouling index;
- increased air permeability;
- increasing the depth of radical expansion;
- removal of the plowing sole;
- increase of organic carbon and preservation of organic substance with a strong humification and maintenance of humic and fulvic acids;
- reduction of the mineralization index;
- increase in total limestone;
- Increased cation exchange capacity with increased exchangeable bases: potassium, calcium, magnesium;
- increased supply of available phosphorus and stable organic nitrogen.
