On the Bertoni – Podenzano (PC) farm, the application of a specific type of reconstituted soil called suprasoils is tested: the test, first anticipated by research in the laboratory from a chemical-biological point of view, was carried out on experimental plots in the open field.
This intervention was particularly representative and anticipated on a subsequent line of study for the improvement of agricultural soils.
Production data showed tomato crop production increases greater than 10 percent.% thanks to the use of reconstituted soils. The field tests confirmed the previous experiments carried out in pots and exposed the previous year by Dr. Cassinari at the XXXIV Conference of the Italian Society of Soil Chemistry
Fourth Soil Restoration Intervention (2018)
On 30 January 2018, the restoration of soils began at Azienda Agricola Lodigiani in Piacenza; in the soils we have improved fertility with the enhancement of silty soils, destructured and very poor in organic matter.
The reconstitution activity addressed the treatment on the conformation of the aggregates in stable lumpy structures, on the dimensional reduction of the skeleton, on the increase of the organic substance, on the increase of water retention and nutrient retention, on the reduction of crustyness and on the increase of the humic fraction. The work has allowed the transition from Class III (considerable limitations that reduce the choice of cultivation) to Class II of Capacity for use (soils with moderate limitations).
