The fifth site made it possible to carry out important studies on the reconstitution of sandy soils; the aspects examined with particular attention were those of a physical nature in relation to:

• the management of water resources through numerous tests on the trends of humidity in the field and in the laboratory using Richards plates;
• the evolution of the organic substance and the humification processes also linked to the aggregation of the fractions of coarse silt and fine sand present in the soils;
• biological aspects by biochemical and microbiological analysis for the description of biological fertility trends affected by the reconstitution treatment.

The study activities have produced scientific publications, participation in conferences and master's thesis and new specific design and intervention procedures on the reconstitution of sandy, loamy-sandy, loamy-sandy and clay-sandy soils.
