The company Fertilia srl is the experimental farm of the company Ecosistemi, has an area of 40 ha (400,000 m²) with buildings previously used for animal husbandry.
Pedotechnic tests are carried out on the holding for research on soil, crop yields in test fields and on experimental plots: there is a soil treatment plant for testing pedotechnologies, soil processing systems, fertilisation and a weather data survey station.

The company Fertilia, active since 2022, has its seat on the lands of what was there?the Vittorio Tadini Experimental Company, an important development centre in the history of national and Piacenza agricultural experimentation. With great pride Ecosistemi, after the acquisition, returned the fund to its activity after the decline suffered, inheriting the original spirit in a vision of applied development of agrarian ecology and soil sciences.

The origins of the company date back to the late nineteenth century developing the experimental nature already from the early twentieth century with the owner Count Vittorio Tadini who, prematurely disappeared, bequeathed in 1928 to the Fascist trade union of Agricultural Workers the entire company structure so that the center was entirely dedicated to the development of Italian agriculture.

Today, with the company Fertilia, the lands that a century ago hosted the experimental grains of Senator Nazareno Strampelli, have resumed the new spirit by accepting the challenges to address the issues of agricultural production, agricultural processing, conservation and improvement of physical and chemical fertility of the soil.
