The quality of water from the storage of drinking water with tanks is regulated by the Legislative Decree of 23 February 2023.
The conformity of tank water for the supply of drinking water must also be checked in view of the material from which the tanks were made: there are possible contaminations due to the release of chemicals from the materials that make up the containers.

Ecosistemi issue its analytical certificates on the chemical and biological state of verification of tanks and reservoirs after sampling and verifications carried out; in addition, specific surveys are carried out on the presence, proliferation and spread of algae, fungi and bacteria to protect the suitability of water intended for human consumption over time.
Ships must ensure that water is drinkable and for this purpose the processes of supply, storage, distribution must exclude chemical or microbial contamination.
We carry out specific sampling and analysis on water suitability checks on land supply based on WHO references and the IWA guide, on storage and control in distribution systems, points of use, swimming pools and whirlpools.
Hygiene guarantees for the entire water supply process are managed by procedures (WSP and EU SHIPSAN) on the quality of drinking water in passenger ships.
