Thermal waters – swimming pools
On the basis of the current regulations (Legislative Decree No. 18 of 23 February 2023, State-Regions Agreement published on 3 March 2003 and legislative provisions of the individual Regions) the water supply of the pools and the quality in the pool must comply with the requirements of the current regulations.
To this end, public, private pools for collective use (hotels, camping, accommodation complexes, gyms, etc.), accessible only to guests, customers, members of the structure itself; systems aimed at water play; condominium pools and finally the pools present in the care and rehabilitation facilities, must have the characteristics of chemical and microbiological quality.
The plant manager must keep a number of documents at the disposal of the control authorities, including laboratory certificates on chemical, microbiological and legionellosis risk hygiene tests.
Especially for the evaluation of Legionella, swimming pools, whirlpools and Turkish saunas require periodic checks.
Depending on the type of pool, the possible sources of risk are evaluated: for the prevention of Legionella and the possible verification of its absence in the tanks, are highlighted by specific control procedures by the laboratories Ecosistemi.
