The research laboratory Ecosistemi carried out the surveys and sampling of soil samples to verify the evolution of reconstituted soils.
The data and observations collected confirm, with evidence, the first successes related to two fundamental aspects for agricultural production: an increase in chemical fertility and a strong improvement in the physical properties of the soil.
Its subjected to treatment do not have water stagnation, crust formation, the structure of the soils is improved with an increase in structural stability. The chemical parameters, in addition to the strong increase in the supply of organic matter, show an increase in the availability of phosphorus, a better ratio of Magnesium to potassium, an increase in organic nitrogen and a higher ratio of carbon nitrogen.The experimentation, currently, shows remarkably positive aspects of improvement that, with reference to the initial motivations, namely those of identifying a method for the restoration of the lands damaged by the flood in Romagna, lead to a result that, in the current state of affairs, shows that this type of reconstitution treatment is potentially able to achieve improvements in all those silty, loamy-clay, loamy soils afflicted by the problems of strong crust, surface waterproofing that greatly reduce production and require heavy commitments in the agricultural management of the land.
Ecosistemi confirms its collaboration activity in the academic world by activating curricular internships with the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Bologna (Department of Agro-Food Sciences and Technologies) for the master's degree in Design and management of agro-territorial, forestry and landscape ecosystems. Two lines of research are under discussion on two master's thesis concerning soil degradation and reconstitution technology. The activities will be carried out in the laboratories Ecosistemi, in those of the Faculty of Agriculture and in the intervention sites of Ecosistemi.
