The intervention, entitled ?Sediments accumulations in dams, part II: Dredging sediments can become raw materials to produce news soils through reconstitution field trials? Ecosistemi in the treatment of conversion of sediments and dredging sludges into anthroposols
One of the potential causes due to flood disasters can be represented by the reduced capacity of accumulation by dams due to their progressive burial: The accumulation of sediments within these reservoirs reduces water storage volumes and therefore a strong loss of potential storage capacities. The need to restore the original volumes is fundamental both to ensure the safety of the territory from large volumes of water that intervene during intense and sudden rainy events, and for the conservation of the water resource for drinking, irrigation and energy use.

There is therefore a need to identify the virtuous destinations of sediment accumulated over the years in dams built especially in the past century.
The speech presented in the days of Imola illustrates a part of the research conducted by Ecosistemi in the scientific study on the recovery of dam sediments, dredging sludges, so our society is definitely at the forefront at European level.

This intervention fits well into the theme addressed by the conference because, in addition to outlining the principles of experimentation and the results achieved, it demonstrates how the technology of reconstitution can represent a virtuous technology for the recovery of sediments, their treatment, their removal from reservoirs and the reuse of these sludge for the realization of environmental and agro-forestry interventions not achievable without the application of the method tested and applied by Ecosistemi.
