The intervention: ?First experiments of soil remediation using a new in situ reconstitution technology?, addresses a new method of reconstitution applied to the remediation of soils interested in covering sediment deposited by the flood event

One year after the floods that affected Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany in particular, it is very uncertain to quantify the impact on the agro-forestry sector and the economic fabric connected to it, since such effects can only be found in the medium and long term. The impact of intense and persistent rains has a profound impact on the hilly and mountainous geopedological formations most vulnerable to erosion: the materials transported by the flooding of the watercourses covered the agrarian soils with a silt layer of different thicknesses.

The aim of the Imola days is to take stock of the state of knowledge on the impact of landslides and land movements of the Apennine slopes, on the effects of flood events in the plains.
At the request of the National Union of Agromechanical and Industrial Counterfeiters (UNCAI), the Italian Association of Dried Forage (AIFE), the Associazione Provinciale Imprese Agricole Meccanico-Agricole-Industriali (APIMAI) of Ravenna, of the Società Cooperativa Agricola Agrintesa, the National Academy of Agriculture presents the various proposals for a correct restoration and reclamation of agricultural land most impacted by the flood and for an objective assessment of the real damage suffered by farms.
A particularly sensitive technical aspect concerns the loss of productivity that the original agricultural soil can suffer if trivially mixed with the covering sediments, causing both physical and chemical imbalances.
Among the various topics related to the flooding events, the heartfelt theme of the restoration of damaged agricultural areas was exposed by the intervention of Dr. Giovanni Bonifacio. Paolo Manfredi on the results obtained from the experimentation of a new method of soil treatment aimed at their restoration. This technological approach is currently the only one that demonstrates serious scientific, agronomic and economic feasibility.
