Presented the work done at the greenhouses of the University of Agriculture on the germination and growth of corn on reconstituted lands entitled: ‘Emergency and root development in maize plants (Zea Mays L.) on natural and reconstituted soil’
At the conference of the Italian Association of Agrometeorology ‘Agrometeorology to feed the planet: water, air, soil, plants, animals’, held in Trento (San Michel all’Adige), presented the work carried out at the greenhouses of the University of Agriculture on the germination and growth of maize on reconstituted land entitled ‘Emergency and root development in maize plants (Zea Mays L.) on natural and reconstituted soil’. The study revealed the increased germination and rapid development of seedlings and root systems in plants grown in reconstituted soils.

To verify and compare the best agronomic characteristics of the reconstituted lands (thesis B) with respect to a natural soil tendentially degraded, a greenhouse test was carried out in which the germinability, the % daily and total emergency and radical development ? weight (g), ? length (cm) of a variety of Zea mays at the same ecological conditions.
The data obtained from the study confirm the greater fertility of the reconstituted soils, also observed in field tests from which higher maize production on reconstituted soils was obtained, with a water saving of 45 %.%
