Experimentation of the in-situ reconstitution treatment continued, after maize was harvested on 25/IX/2024, with a test on durum wheat sown on 10/XI/2024

Following the excellent results obtained both on the chemical-physical characteristics of the soil and on the field cultivation (maize), the experimentation in the field treated with the in-situ reconstitution continued with the sowing of durum wheat.
In this second phase of experimentation it was decided to proceed also with different fertilization by dividing the theses into zones with 0, 80 and 180 kg N hectare.
The crop was followed during its development phases and up to the pre-flowering with the reliefs of SPAD, average plant height, average number of leaves per plant.
The soil was sampled and analysed after the first nitrogen fertilisation and after harvesting.
As with the previous maize test, the wheat test confirmed the excellent chemical and physical characteristics of the reconstituted soils, demonstrating that the in-situ treatment has the potential to restore degraded soils in the same way as the ex-situ treatment and applicable in all those areas where the conditions are not suitable for ex-situ reconstitution.
Following the processing of the pre-sowing soil, the layer of soil reconstituted in the field was remixed with the soil below, partially smoothing out the differences with the natural soil for some analyzed parameters, despite this and also evaluating the different fertilizations, the wheat yields were excellent further demonstrating that this type of treatment is very effective.
Grain production in reconstituted soil calculated at 13% The average humidity was 31 percent higher.% compared to the natural soil, in particular the thesis reconstituted without fertilization gave yields of 18% higher than the natural thesis with 180 kg N hectare, while the thesis with 80 kg N hectare compared to the natural with 80 kg N hectare produced on average 15% Plus the 1st and 10th.% less the second compared to the natural 180 kg N hectare.
