The study published by the Notiziario della Scoeità Botanica Italiana was conducted in the field Ecosistemi where experimental plots have been carried out
They describe the fruiting of Lycogala Terrestrial Fr. and Steomonitis axifera (Bull.) T. Macrb. observed for the first time on sandy soils in the Po Valley generated following the reconstitution of the treated soils. In the work presented we investigate the chemical-physical properties of the reconstituted soils and the climatic parameters that have most influenced the presence and development of the species of myxomycetes observed.


The research carried out is of particular interest for the activities of Ecosistemi in the field of combating desertification and soil degradation. These biological forms are in fact of extreme importance in the phenomena of humification and therefore of stabilization of the organic substance in the soils: the appearance of various forms of Mixomicetes in the reconstituted soils, especially in the first periods of laying the layers, is a phenomenon already observed by us for some years and is strongly positive for the improvement of the physical chemical properties of the reconstituted soils.
