Start of the first batch of agro-forestry restoration in Campo Santo Vecchio: Fertile soil layers with a thickness of more than 0.70 m will be created in the sector.

The thicknesses of the reconstituted soil horizon have been defined in order to ensure the radical deepening of the trees subsequently planted in the area. The thicker compartments are georeferenced to target tree species that require deeper root development.

The production of reconstituted soils, as per the project, is carried out in different treatment methods to achieve that important experimental phase in which various types of reconstituted soils with properties aimed at specific purposes will be tested.
The controls of the spontaneous colonization of the different species and the growth of the trees and shrubs that will be planted can provide further information on the characteristics of the different reconstituted soils
