The Franchetti mission in Tripolitania (The Gebèl). The Commission’s Economic and Agricultural Surveys sent to Tripolitania by the Società Italiana per lo Studio della Libia (Italian Society for the Study of Libya) is a key work of 1914 which analyses in a technical manner the agricultural and economic aspects of Libya at the time. This study, published by Fratelli Trèves, was an important contribution to Italian culture and publishing until 1939.
The work consists of 609 pages and includes 378 illustrations, providing a detailed overview of the agricultural conditions and economic potential of the region.  A distinctive element is the attached map, which enriches the understanding of the territory examined. This publication documents the agricultural practices of the time and highlights the historical value of the surveys carried out in Libya during a period of great transformation.

Carlo Bonnet – Contemplation of nature – 1797
The Contemplation of Nature is a philosophical-scientific work that combines naturalistic observation and metaphysical reflection, typical of the Swiss Enlightenment thought of Charles Bonnet. The text is a true meditation on the perfection and harmony of the natural world, considered a reflection of divine wisdom.
The author, biologist and philosopher, addresses the educated reader with the intention of showing how nature, in its most minute manifestations, contains clues of a higher order.
Bonnet develops the idea of a continuous scale of life, in which all ? beings from stones to ? angels occupy a place in a universal order. Nature is orderly and intelligent; Each part has a function and a purpose. In addition, the text contemplates the immortality of the soul, the reincarnation and perfection of the human being in a spiritual perspective. Finally, it carefully describes natural phenomena, insects, plants, and anatomy, interpreting them in a symbolic and philosophical key.
The edition printed in Venice in 1797 is considered rather rare, for reasons similar to those of other late Italian Enlightenment texts.
