The NEWLIFE Group (Ecosistemi - Università Cattolica, Faculty of Agriculture) hosted Prof. Massimo Fagnano responsible for the Life Ecoremed project in a conference for the presentation of the activities carried out
On the morning of 18 December 2015, Professor Massimo Fagnano, professor of agronomy and herbaceous cultivations of the Department of Agriculture of the University of Naples Federico II and coordinator of the Life ECOREMED project, held a seminar at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Piacenza entitled: The LIFE-Ecoremed project for the identification and remediation of polluted agricultural soils. The topics covered include the following:
? Definition of polluted agricultural soil
? The role of the LIFE-Ecoremed project in the media crisis of the Land of Fires
? Objectives of remediation/safeguarding in the case of agricultural soils
? Functions and limits of the use of vegetation for reclamation/safeguarding
? Case studies in the Campania Region
The dr. Paolo Manfredi (m.c.m. Ecosistemi), Prof. Marco Trevisan (Catholic University of the Sacred Heart) and Prof. Vincenzo Tabaglio (Catholic University of the Sacred Heart) spoke during the morning.
