The comparison between a cultivation of maize sown on reconstituted soils and one on natural soils that tend to be degraded was illustrated. The treatment of soil reconstitution intervenes on the structure and redisposition within the aggregates of the organic substance, resulting in a soil that has better chemical and physical characteristics than the original soil.
In the 2012 agricultural year, on these same soils cultivated with maize, a comparison was made on theses with different quantities of irrigation water, returning production results on reconstituted soils significantly higher than those on natural soils with a water saving of 45 %.%. These results, in addition to confirming the goodness of the reconstitution treatment, have spurred towards other tests. In the 2014 agricultural year, a test was set up to evaluate the production data of maize grown on reconstituted lands and natural lands to which different quantities of nitrogen fertilizer were added: one fertilization per 100% in natural soils and at 50% in the reconstituted ones.
