Presentation of the study on vegetation in the deserted area of Borgotrebbia (Piacenza)

The work was carried out during two years of observations in which a lot of information was collected also according to the soil studies on the soils of the site itself.

One of the actions carried out on the Borgotrebbia area was to analyze the phytosociological aspects of the plant species distributed on the site. On the basis of these analyses, important correlations have been identified with the physical and chemical characteristics of the lands present in the different areas.

The properties of the soils, which have shown greater states of degradation, up to the level of desertification, are associated with the presence of specific plants of ruderal type that confirm the condition of the soils.

At these confirmations it will be possible to evaluate, after the intervention, not only the fertile properties of the relocated reconstituted soils but also the type of vegetation present, together with the colonization phases.
