The research work carried out: ‘Hydrological characteristics of the soil of a degraded area: comparison between physical, chemical and floristic-vegetational analysis" was presented at the prestigious world conference

Exposure of studies carried out in laboratories Ecosistemi in collaboration with the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Catholic University of the Sacred Heart) on the water retention characteristics of degraded soils compared with pedo-functions.

Speech at the prestigious European Geoscience Union Ecosistemi illustrates the studies carried out in the Campo Santo Vecchio area on the degraded and desertified soils present. The earthy clusters, of different types and origins, were all subjected to analytical tests by our laboratory determining, on all samples, chemical, structural and hydrological parameters in order to identify common properties in the degraded soils of the site. A comparison has also begun between the data obtained through the analyses with Richards Plates and the predictive pedofunctions in use in the field of pedology, this to verify the predictions and identify, from the differences with the instrumental outcomes, possible correlations with the different factors of degradation.
