The laboratory Ecosistemi built a pilot reactor for specific observations on the residual chemistry of samples taken from the subsoil of a site with a strong presence of municipal solid waste

The environmental chemistry laboratory, in collaboration with the reclamation sector, has designed a simulation system for predicting the risk of distribution of pollutants by a heterogeneous sample of land and waste taken at a site.

The experiment had to simulate the environmental characteristics of the collected matrices in order to establish the remediation options of the area.

This test provided important indications for the design of a remediation or permanent safety.

One of the polls in the area?

The area was the object, in the early seventies, of landfill activities where mainly urban waste was placed, subsequently covered by layers of land of different thickness.
